Teaching schools are good and outstanding schools that work with others to provide high-quality training and development to new and experienced school staff. They are part of the government’s plan to give schools a central role in raising standards by developing a self-improving and sustainable school-led system.
Warrington Teaching School Alliance (WTSA) formed in 2014/15 and specialises in supporting Primary and Early Years settings. Led by a strategic group of schools, and supported by a larger group of alliance Associate Members, WTSA works across the North West of England to drive school improvement forward.
Our key aims as a Teaching School are to:
WTSA is accountable through Evelyn Street Primary and Warrington Primary Academy Trust. All teaching school activities are directed by the WTSA Strategic Board which is made up of the Headteachers of the WTSA Strategic Member Schools. More information about Teaching Schools can be found at GOV.UK
