By observing and working alongside the children the practitioner will gain an insight into how the outdoor environment can influence the all-round development and well-being of children.

Observing Practice in the Early Years

This training aims to help practitioners to develop confidence in their own abilities to take learning outside. It will give an insight into how the outdoor environment can influence the all-round development of children. It will show how the outdoors develops self-esteem and confidence; how children can experience achievement through problem-solving, working in teams or independently; and how they can develop positive relationships, perseverance, imaginative and physical skills and build resilience.
