From 2019/20, the EEF is widening and extending the work it does, building new collaborations and working in partnership with schools across the country. Warrington Teaching School Alliance has jioned the EEF and Aspirer Research School to kickstart this work.
CPD aimed at supporting schools to explore methods of cohesive, sequenced curriculum design in preparation for the new School Inspection Framework in 2019. Developed by and being tested by WTSA schools, it explores one approach to developing and evolving curriculum design using evidence based principles.
Delivered by SLE Jayne Narraway there are a wide range of Phonics CPD sessions taking place in January, aimed at supporting TAs, Teachers and experienced phonics leads to upskill and hone their practice to improve outcomes.
WTSA are again hosting Oxford University Press with the expert speaker events - this time welcoming Jean Gross to share her expertise on supporting children from lowest attaining groups. This whole day is offered at the subsidised price of £30 p/p. Click here for more information.

Working in partnership with National Research School, Meols Cop, WTSA is pleased to offer an opportunity to join WTSA schools in training teachers to explore their understanding of 'how children learn' and using metacognition techniques within the classroom for maximum pupil impact. With year group specific cohorts there are 3x half day sessions launching in Feb/March to enable the comprehensive programme to be undertaken this academic year.
