Amanda Quirk is an Early Years specialist who currently has 27 years' experience across a number of areas - consultancy, leader of a children's centre, assistant head, foundation stage leader and nursery and reception class teacher to name just a few.
Amanda has worked extensively with school heads, managers, teachers, senior staff and teaching assistants to support children from ages 0 to 5 years old. She dedicates her time to supporting schools and private, voluntary and independent settings with the aim of improving outcomes and practice. Amanda believes that this can be done through the delivery of bespoke training and development packages, tailored uniquely to each school and its pupils. As the leader of the successful Maths and Boys Literacy Extended Project (MABLE) for Warrington Teaching School Alliance in 2015/2016, Amanda is passionate about improving outcomes for our youngest children, who deserve only the best in teaching and learning, no matter what their background situtations. She is certain that all children are worthy of a first class education, a positive school experience and the greatest start in life.
"Amanda's training was really interesting...she has reinvigorated my enthusiasm for literacy!"
"All ideas from Amanda have been grounded in theory and evidence and she has challenged our thinking and perceptions, making us reflect on the provision in our setting."
"Amanda is very inspiring and gives great ideas for writing. In comparison to previous years, we have a lot more evidence of independent writing as a result."
