Lesley Sweeney (LLE)

A Headteacher since September 2004, Lesley has worked in two very different schools: Cinnamon Brow CE Primary School, a 1.5 entry faith school serving an area of significant deprivation and also Ravenbank Community Primary School, a large successful village primary school in an affluent area of south Warrington. Lesley has also provided school to school support as a LA executive Headteacher, supporting a school in special measures to secure satisfactory progress in all areas at its first HMI monitoring visit.

In 2015, Lesley secured over 60% of Year 6 attained a level 5 in all areas with a progress score in the 6th percentile. Most recent KS2 data remains well above the national average for both attainment & progress, with all groups performing well in comparison with all schools and similar schools. In the last 3 years, numbers have grown and the school is currently over-subscribed. The number of children with additional needs including Education & Health Care Plans has increased significantly in the last 3 years. Ravenbank recently went through the external accreditation process for the Inclusion Mark and was recommended as a centre of excellence.

Lesley offers support in a number of aspects of school leadership including; inclusion, securing whole school commitment to school improvement, raising attainment through holistic performance management and developing SMSC skills & values for life in a community school.
